The workshop focusing on the analysis of sign language production will be held at the University of Salzburg on Monday, July 15th, 2024.
The workshop will focus on sign language production (both manual and non-manual articulators), i.e. linguistic markers and individual variability in sign production, with the goal to identifying best practices to objectively quantify sign language production using data in any recording modality/modality combination (video, 3D video, motion capture, radar, EMG - the sky's the limit!).
The workshop will be held as a satellite symposium of the international kinesiology conference ISBS 2024 - 42th Congress of the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports, taking place in Salzburg on July 15 - 19, 2024 (details for accommodations, transportation, and activities in Salzburg are available on the main site).
If you would like to participate, please send us a short abstract of your research project (500 words, references not included in word limit; figures/tables highly encouraged) by the 30th of April 2024 to: julia.krebs AT plus.ac.at.
